I love to shop. I can shop by myself for hours if I do have such luxury of time. Nope, I do not buy things to keep. I tend to wear what I buy almost immediately. There’s another place for me to shop soon. Perhaps in a few months’ time. Genting Highlands Premium Outlet. This is a similar one to the Johor Premium Outlet. Both are operated by Genting Simon Sdn Bhd. Yes, I personally prefer JPO if it’s compared to Mitsui Outlet Park. The brands which was mentioned in an article in thestar.com.my are as follows: Adidas, Aigner, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Beauty Scents, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein Jeans, Charles & Keith, Coach, Furla, Gap, Guess, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Oroton, Pedro, Polo Ralph Lauren, Puma, Samsonite, Superdry, Swatch, Time Lab, and Wacoal. Out of the above, I have bought items from 11 brands. 🙂 When it opens, it would have over 150 brands represented! I think worth a drive up just to shop even if not dropping by the casino. Haha.
What’s happening soon is a three-day job fair to be at Wawasan 2020 Grand Ballroom of Awana Genting Highlands Golf & Country Resort from 10am to 7pm on Feb 13 to 15. Vacancies available include sales associates, senior sales associates, sales supervisors, assistant store managers, and store managers. The F&B brands which are also joining the fair include Absolute Thai, Baskin Robbins, Dome Café, George & Dragon, Juan Valdez Cafe, Starbucks Coffee, and TCBY Frozen Yogurt. For the interested applicants, they should bring along their identity card, resume, relevant documents and certificates (both original and photocopy), and a passport size photo. Genting Simon Sdn Bhd chief operating officer Jean Marie Pin Harry said, “We look forward to Genting Highlands Premium Outlets continuing to be a source of pride for the community by helping the local state build, and preserve human resources and develop talent.”
As at today, I have not yet visited Penang’s Outlet Park. My brother told me,’worth a visitlah.’ I think I will drop by on the18th of Feb when I visit a good friend in Penang. My personal belief is that if the product is of quality, I do not really care whether it was last season or two seasons before. Yes, I may be totally wrong if I were to speak to the Hong Kongers or the Americans. Their outlet malls are amazing and is frequented by many of my Malaysian friends. To many of us, it’s great value. To the Americans following trends, those are ‘old stock.’ As for Genting Highlands, I think this is a very good addition. To those who did not know how to take advantage of this, you can also buy its shares. Read more here: Genting Bhd target price. Nope, I do not currently own any units. Happy saving some money for shopping soon in a premium outlet high up in the hills.
