KLIA: Increasing passengers? Still world’s best airport for Q3 2022?

KLIA: Increasing passengers? Still world’s best airport for Q3 2022?

My own travelling right after lockdowns are lifted

From July 2022 till end October 2022, I have been to KLIA nearly every few weeks. I flew to Nashville (USA), Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and even Hong Kong. It was zero flights for nearly 2 years and I flew more than enough to replace those 2 years. I was also one of the earliest ones to visit Hong Kong under their latest 0+3 arrangement. This means there are no quarantine hotels needed. However, there are still some requirements. If you are going to Hong Kong, you can read it here. Travelling to Hong Kong: Tips to be ahead of 0+3

KLIA is certainly considered a busy airport today

From all the travels, I can safely tell you that our Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has become busier every time I was there. The queue to get my baggage checked in has also gotten longer too. I think this is a very good sign. This is similar to all other airports in ASEAN. I could not say the same for Hong Kong. I could also not say the same for Narita airport in Japan which I was there for transit two times. Let’s hope the world will become smaller again as everyone starts their travelling again.

KLIA and Langkawi International Airport is still the world’s best airports

Article in themalaysianreserve.com KL International Airport (KLIA) and Langkawi International Airport (LGK) retained their positions as the world’s best airports by achieving perfect scores of 5.00 respectively in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey in the third quarter (Q3 2022).

MAHB in a statement said, “For Q3, KLIA shared the achievement in the over 40 million passengers per annum (mppa) category alongside eight other airports. LGK was the only airport in its category of 2–5 mppa to score full points in the survey.”

According to MAHB managing director Datuk Iskandar Mizal Mahmood, air travel is experiencing a more rapid recovery in the second half of the year.

“With increasing passengers coming through the airport, we wish to remove any unnecessary stress from travelling by ensuring efficient procedures, well-functioning facilities and hospitable airport staff,” he said.

MAHB also witnessed the reinstatements of the Manila–Kota Kinabalu route by Cebu Pacific and the Penang–Denpasar route by AirAsia in Malaysia. Do read the full article here: Article in themalaysianreserve.com

KLIA is comfortable, I am going LGK soon

I used to fly to Langkawi once every other year. In December 2022, I will be fling to Langkawi again for the very first time in 3 years. I wonder what has changed. I am certainly going to enjoy the relaxing trip and will not be rushing to many places. By the way, Langkawi has white sandy beaches yeah and the sand is fine. This is NOT the case even for some more famous beaches in some countries. Haha. In the mean time, just enjoy flying to anywhere you like and I wish our airports would continue to maintain good standards for all travellers.
