When we consider buying a property in Selangor, there are still lots of cheaper options when compared to Kuala Lumpur. Due to the size, there are also a lot more than developers could do in Selangor versus within KL. Land size is a limitation. Read on for something exciting for many people. I think today, everyone would acknowledge that K-POP is the top versus HK, Taiwan or even Japan. Korean stars are today THE ones to craze for. K-drama is by far most watched drama compared to even TVB because K-drama is watched by ALL segments of Malaysians. I have not watched drama for a very long time because it’s so hard to follow it everyday. Besides, my daughter prefers her channels too. Haha. Anyway, anything with a Korean theme should be pretty sellable, right? Maybe that’s why Sunsuria Bhd’s recently announced joint-venture collaboration with Taiwan-based Welcome Global Co Ltd for a Korean-themed development within Sunsuria City.
It’s a 8.48-acre mixed-development project with an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM700mil. The development includes a boutique hotel, a wedding house, serviced apartments, a Korean-themed mall known as K-Mall, as well as a themed garden. It will be launched in 2017 and will be known as Sunsuria Provence Village. A K-Mall will be its first phase and it will feature Korean merchants and brands under three segments, which are K-Beauty, K-Fashion and K-Pop. The mall is considered boutique in size; 50,000 – 70,000 sq ft.
There’s also a hotel; Hotel Everrich with less than 200 room with a Korean theme as well. It originated from Ganghwa Island, Korea. The themed garden would have a glass wedding house to cater to weddings, parties and private functions. It will include both French and Korean design features throughout the development and Sunsuria expects these to make Sunsuria City one of the most sought-after destinations for lifestyle photo shooting, video shooting and documentaries.
Regardless of the theme and trend, get to know the project by driving around the area. The actual site of Sunsuria City project is Salak Tinggi which is also known as Putrajaya South. On an overall basis, Sunsuria City is 525 acres. In other words, there are a lot more developments to follow if everything goes according to plan. I wrote about Sunsuria’s below RM400,000 project in Salak Tinggi before. In other words, things are moving along and I hope to see some more details about this Korean themed development soon. Will update with more photos then.
