I have recently been having dinners on and off at Stellar’s Grocer, a new supermarket in Sungai Buloh. I stay in Damansara Damai. It has a small restaurant cum cafe right beside the supermarket which meant that after dinner, I could also do my grocery shopping. It’s little restaurant serves the same menu the whole day and I would recommend it’s set meal consisting of a main course, a bowl of soup as well as ice-lemon tea for just RM9.90 nett. My favourite is butter chicken rice which is buttery rich and spicy. Haha. Oh yeah, its Tuna Pasta is pretty economic, at just RM5.90 per portion. Current offer is as per image. Pretty good in my opinion.
From vegetables to meat and fish choices, everything is available. I would prefer even more choices but I think it’s enough for weekday shopping. Shelves are also arranged in such a way that browsing is easy. Prices are pretty reasonable even if not the cheapest around. Yes, a non-Halal section is available too for non-Muslims. Parking is easy in the basement car park and we could walk straight into the supermarket itself. Of course, it is still free and based on the number of shoppers, it should be free for at least a few more months.
Currently, in the whole building, only the supermarket is open today. Dropping by is easy, just use Waze and key in ‘Stellar’s Grocer.’ There are not a lot of shoppers yet but I seriously do hope that more people from the surrounding areas would drop by. Keep it open so that we have another option. Yes, it’s less than 10minutes away from Damansara Damai. Happy dropping by.
