No need to wait, it’s official now

Yes, it’s now official. Everyone can balik to their hometowns and have their say with their vote. GE15 may just be that first time voting for many of the 18 year olds. Hopefully a lot more people are now encouraged to go and vote. Lots of time to reach home on time yeah. Drive slow slow also can too.

Article in nst.com.my Caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has declared Nov 18 and 19 public holidays.

He said the special holiday was to encourage the people to carry out their responsibility and vote on polling day on Saturday.

He made the announcement at the ground breaking ceremony of the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) at Presint 18 here today.

A total of 21,173,638 eligible voters are expected to cast their ballots at 9,536 polling centres around the country in this election. They will vote for elected representatives at 222 parliamentary constituencies and 116 states seats in Perlis, Perak and Pahang. Article in nst.com.my

Do not be lazy okay…

From some friends, it does seem that the voting fever this time is much more subdued. Many predicting that some colours may win. I say, go vote lah. The decision will come later. Many reasons have been stated but I think they are all small reasons versus the importance of voting. Go do it yeah. Remember to drive safely and stop anytime needed for a cup of coffee etc. Happy voting!
