FIABCI Premium Property Showcase 2014 @ Penang is here. It brings with it a wide selection of premium properties and property investments talks this weekend, 12th to 14th September. Developers participating include Ideal Property, Hunza Property, UEM Sunrise and Mah Sing. This may not be the best show if you are looking for affordable properties but for those who are looking for a more luxurious place to upgrade to, perhaps this may be you chance. As usual, whenever I go for any property fairs, I would always look at the list of speakers. The speakers this time include a good friend who always update and remind me on property statistics, the FIABCI vice-president Michael Geh and also someone I have known for a few years, the auctioneer Jeevan Muniandy.
Michael’s talk would be on ‘Penang Property Outlook’ at 2pm on Friday. Please do go and ask lots of questions. Other talks include: Investment Opportunity in Nusajaya, Johor, Mortgage Insurance, To buy or not to buy?, Properties, Numbers and You, Next Transformation of Singapore, How to successfully finance your house purchase, Why invest in property? and Will GST affect your property purchase?.
Speakers for the talks include mortgage insurance specialist Ms Elane Goh, numerologist Master Marinah, Head of Marketing of Far East Organisation, Singapore Mr Jacky Lim, Vice President (Finance & Investment) of MPI Mr Ronald Pua, CEO of Zerin Properties Mr Previndran Singhe, Director of Ho Chin Soon Research Ho Chin Soon and National Tax Director of TY Teoh International Mr Richard Oon amongst many other professionals. There will also be talks on Property hot spots in Penang and Malaysia, The Best Luxury Apartment in Perak and Property Investment: Legal Issue make easy on Sunday.
The talks would not be complete without the participation of the state government. As everyone knows, one key element for property market is the state government. On Saturday morning, Penang State EXCO for Housing and Town Planning YB Jagdeep Singh Deo will be talking on a very important subject: Private Public Partnership for Affordable Housing. With Penang’s ambition for 22,500 new units of affordable housing and the invitation to the private sector to work together, I think it will be interesting to see what’s the actual model which will be used.
