Ready or not, MCO extension announced. Till 4th February 2021

Actually, it’s not all gloomy for this MCO extension. The opening hours of eateries are now extended till 10pm from 8pm previously. Guys, PLEASE, stay home as much as possible. Ordering food for the next 2 weeks will not ‘kill’ us okay. We need to be united in this war against COVID-19.Beyond that, perhaps this is also a very good statement and hopefully we start to see a dropping number from tomorrow onwards?

“Senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob shared that the health ministry has noted a decreasing trend in cases, with the last case detected on Jan 15 with no new samples awaiting results.”

Article in freemalaysiatoday.com. PETALING JAYA: The movement control order (MCO) affecting Penang, Selangor, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan, Johor, Kelantan and Sabah will be extended until Feb 4.

Senior minister for security Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced at a press conference today that said most districts in the states were still red zones and the trend of daily cases were still on the rise.

He added some states were also reporting new clusters and community transmissions.

“Based on the risk analysis and advice from the health ministry, the National Security Council today has agreed to extend the MCO in Penang, Selangor, Melaka, the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and Labuan, Johor, Kelantan and Sabah.”

Sarawak is the only state in the country not under MCO, and Ismail’s announcement today means the MCO will now end on the same date across the country.

The MCO in the six states and three federal territories was initially supposed to end on Jan 26.

On Tuesday, Ismail announced that Kedah, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Terengganu and Perlis would also be placed under MCO from Jan 22 until Feb 4.

Ismail also said the enhanced movement control order which started on Jan 26 at the Westlite workers’ dormitory in Taman Perindustrian Tampoi Jaya, Johor Bahru, will end tomorrow as scheduled.

it’s 21st January today. 4th February is 14 days away. Not that tough, really especially since we have been trained well for the last 10 months or so. In fact eating a different kind of food everyday is possible too. Let me start the food list for the next 14 days. The list can go on forever yeah. This is Malaysia…
