It was a night to celebrate for the real estate agencies and negotiators. Their hard work, perseverance and the never-ending customer service (weekends, even before we wake up…) for the owner and the buyer has paid off. This is the iProperty.com.my Agents Advertising Awards 2018. The top of the top received their awards which they could now show to their future customers. When I arrived at 6pm for the function, many of them were already happily chit-chatting with one another and the scene showed to me that even with the current slowdown in terms of property transactions, the better ones would always continue to prosper. As they say, when the goings get tough, the tough gets going. Let’s be reminded that for real estate negotiators, they have nothing at the end of the month if they did not close any deal. The iProperty.com.my Agent Advertising Awards (AAA) returns once again to celebrate and recognise the achievements of agents, negotiators, and agencies in the Malaysian real estate industry.
It was a night of glitz and glamour at the Sheraton PJ on August 8, 2018 as the iProperty.com.my Malaysia’s Agents Advertising Awards (AAA) was held once again to honour and pay tribute to the professionals of the real estate industry. Recognised as one of the country’s most prestigious and credible property awards, iProperty.com.my’s AAA is an annual celebration that rewards the best advertising practices, outstanding performances and innovation within the real estate industry in Malaysia.
Since its inception four years ago, the AAA has stood as the benchmark event for property professionals and agencies here in Malaysia. The annual event pays tribute to the men, women and companies of the local real-estate industry who have shown the highest levels of excellence and innovation. Most importantly, the awards also acknowledge the exceptional work being done in transforming the way property is marketed and advertised here in Malaysia.
Honouring real estate professionals
Over 550 property professionals, who were dressed to the nines, packed the Main Ballroom of the Sheraton PJ on the night of the event. Following an impressive launch gambit with music and entertainment, David Mawer, General Manager, iProperty.com.my, welcomed the esteemed guests and recipients of this year’s awards.
An electrifying violin and LED performance kicks off the festivities at the iProperty.com.my Agent Advertising Awards (AAA) 2018.
In his welcome address, Mawer stressed on the importance of property professionals and agencies in Malaysia and the role they play in changing and elevating the way Malaysians experience property. “The iProperty.com.my AAA serves as a great platform for us to recognize men and women who play an important role in helping millions of people find their dream home,” he added.
As such we are here tonight, to honour the reputable agents and agencies, who play a pivotal role in helping thousands of people find their dream home in Malaysia. Judging the best of real estate
This year’s awards saw more than 100 entries judged by an acclaimed panel, which include Ahyat Ishak, Founder of the Strategic Property Investor Program; Charles Tan, Founder cum Executive Director of kopiandproperty.my; Ismael Ho, Chief Executive Officer of Ho Chin Soon Research and Sr Fakru Radzi, Chief Executive Officer of PKNS Real Estate.

All recipients were subjected to stringent judging criteria based on consumer votes, online data and their creativity and skills to leverage technology and data in the way properties were sold and listed. Certified public accountants, PKF Malaysia reviewed the process to ensure the authenticity and validity of all entries.
“All the shortlisted finalists and winners demonstrated their ambition, talent and commitment, and iProperty.com.my is proud to honour and recognise them”, expressed Leon Kong, General Manager, Agent Business of iProperty.com.my.
“Shortlisting the candidates was no easy task even more so as each entry was put through a rigorous judging process. However, we are proud to showcase the finalists and winners of this year’s iProperty.com.my AAA who represent the top echelons of talents in the property industry in Malaysia.”
The winners revealed…
A total of 25 categories and 45 trophies were presented to property professionals nationwide at this year’s event. The diverse range ensured that all aspects of real-estate were covered including agency and individual categories as well as customer service, training as well as tech and digital applications in real estate.
As the envelopes were opened and the winners announced, Gplex Realty and IQI Realty would prove to be the big winners of the night. The former came away with wins in the Agency of the Year Platinum, Emerging Real Estate Agency and Visionary Real Estate of the Year.
The IQI Realty team were on fire that night.
IQI Realty, on the other hand, solidified itself as one of the leaders in the real estate marketplace by securing the Agency of the Year Titanium for the second year running. The agency also bagged the wins for Best Project Marketing Agency as well as Best Real Estate Agency Culture.
In the individual category, Jeff Lim (IQI Realty) again picked up the award for Agent/Negotiator of the Year. “I’m certainly blessed to be recognised for the third consecutive year for this award, enthused Lim after his win. “I’m so grateful to have the continuous trust from my clients as well as the unconditional support by IQI Realty.”
