RM8 billion more investments into Johor in 2019

One of the latest updates about Iskandar Johor was in an earlier article here. It’s about RTS, flights and ferry Let’s just say that for me, the catalyst for future growth between both Johor and Singapore would have to be the Rail Transit System (RTS). As for property needs, here’s an earlier article.: Johor needs many more homes than today.  Here’s another piece of latest positive news about Johor. Somehow, I could not find an article about it in English yet, so here’s that translation below from an article in Berita Harian. A Singaporean friend in SG asked what the article is about.
Johor’s MB Johor Datuk Osman Sapian announced that another RM8 billion will be invested into Johor by multi-national companies in 2019.  This was because the state has been able to convince investors of the potential for their investments into Johor. He shared that with these investments, it will provide positive impact to the state and the people. He also shared that Johor will have to give lots of attention in its growth by focusing on 3H:‘ High Technology, High Value dan Halal Industry’ These are the most important drivers in propelling Johor into a high achiever state. There was also a rebranding for Johor’s Pusat Pelaburan Negeri Johor’ which was established in 2004. It will now be known simply as ‘Invest Johor’. The article in BHarian here.
A third link could be ready as early as 2022. Here’s that earlier article. I think I should visit JB again soon. Perhaps I should not be there for some functions. I should just go there and really drive here and there and everywhere. Here are 4 reasons why Chinese buyers love to buy JB homes There has been some not-so positive news but my view is that JB and SG has to work together, else we are no longer competitive versus the world outside. Happy following.
