Happy lah… definitely

Yes, I am happy for the Johor people whose business were affected badly when the border between JB – Sg was closed. Yes, I am happy for the Malaysians and Singaporeans who wanted to travel to and fro and did not get to do so for the past 2 years. Yes, I am happy because the economic multiplier will now be happening daily again. Especially when the border used to see 300,000 people travelling daily between the two countries before Covid-19 hit the world.

(I personally think the number will be higher… but just for this first weekend. It should start normalising a few weekends later)

Do not do foolish things please

Please do adhere to all SOPs. Masks should be on all the time. There is no need to be too relaxed and cause the border to be closed again. That would be stupid because it has taken such a long time to reach this stage and a few fools with Covid-19 is enough to cause everything to be negative again and no one knows how long it will be closed if such a cluster do happen after today. Keep it away!
