I have many friends who are real estate agents. So, how do one become a real estate agent? (REA)? It may take years but that journey actually starts below. Yes, you study for it and you pass all the exams and then you for an interview and many years later, you may have 30 real estate negotiators (REN) reporting to you. There are easily over 200,000 property transactions every year here in Malaysia. Question is, do these transactions happen with you or without you. If it happened with you, then the monetary rewards would be extremely attractive.
There are many places where you could study and complete a pre-requisite academic qualification to become a real estate agent. One of those places would be INSPEN. This is where my close friend obtained her certificate and she is on her journey to become a real estate agent. The fees are reasonable yeah. This is an investment for the future. Please note that this is not a sure-pass certification programme yeah. I have friends who went a few times and every time, they fail the test. Need some seriousness to study, else, stop wasting money.
All the different certificates as well as some additional information is as below. You only need to click on the respective image to go to the site in INSPEN where you could sign up to start the course. Deadline to submit your application to join would be 16th October 2020. If I remember correctly, there’s just one intake every year. Not everyone who applied will secure a place yeah. The first one is the certificate of real estate valuation. As the name implies, this is one basic step towards becoming a valuer.
The below would a certificate in property management. This is also a specialisation in demand as the number of new developments would keep increasing.
This is the certificate my close friend took. Yes, this is also that pre-requisite qualification for anyone wanting to become a real estate agent in the future.
