Hong Kong developer developing flagship development in Genting Highlands
Genting Highlands remain a place I will go a few times every year
I stayed one night in Genting Highlands to celebrate the new year of 2022. It was raining throughout the stay and I did not feel too comfortable as there were some exposed slopes throughout the journey up to the peak. However, one thing is certain. Genting Highlands remain popular and the number of cars remain high.
Plus, there are now even more places to stay versus previously when it’s usually inside one of the hotels by Resorts World Genting. Most of all these new developments are not under the Resorts World Genting. Here’s another one with a gross development value of RM6.2 billion. It’s called IBN Highlands City and it is also targeting foreign buyers too.

Will there be too much accommodation in Genting Highlands?
This is a good question. Perhaps find out the situation by going to the accommodation booking sites is a better answer versus asking any property developer who’s building there. I did. For the 31st December 2021, the choices were limited and in fact a small room in First World Hotel on 31st December 2021 was close to RM500 per night. I think I have my answer. I also have to note that at that time, Genting Skyworlds was not open yet. It will soon be.
Genting Skyworlds opening on 8th February 2022
